How to Make a VTuber Avatar
There are two ways to build your first avatar. One takes weeks. The other takes about five minutes.
A VTuber avatar is the animated character that represents you on stream or in videos. It moves as you move: the mouth opens when you talk, it blinks, and it reacts. Making one sounds intimidating, but the effort depends entirely on which of the two routes you take.
Route 1: a fully rigged model
The traditional route is a rigged 2D or 3D model. You commission or draw layered artwork, rig it in software like Live2D Cubism so each part can move, then drive it with webcam or iPhone face tracking. The result is expressive and cinematic, but it is slow and often expensive. Rigging alone can take days to learn and hundreds of dollars to commission.

Route 2: a PNG avatar (the fast way)
